A Tempting Fate

The belief that enlightenment is only attainable by superior human beings is a diabolical lie.

The ultimate purpose of such a lie is to tempt the vanity of those spiritually inclined, to seduce them into believing in their own superiority.

    Suffering deepens the roots of our compassion and is as necessary for our growth as is the rain to the mighty trees of the forest.

    The desire to teach other men how to live would be laughable if it were not so pitiable.
